The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation is responsible for the formulation, implementation and further development of the research profile and research infrastructure of the University of Cologne in coordination with the faculties. As the responsible rectorate member, she accompanies the external evaluation of research projects and leads the Excellence Support Program of the Excellence Strategy. She is also responsible for the implementation and further development of transfer and third mission activities.
