Time & place: 5 pm, Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, CMMC large seminar room

Title: Learnings from deploying ultra-rapid whole-genome sequence based diagnostics for critical neonatal and pediatric care

Host: Peter Nürnberg, contact <peter.nuernberg{at}uni-koeln.de> to meet the speaker before/after the seminar

Background:

Narayanan Veeraraghavan is a computational biologist with interest in Genomic Medicine. He is currently leading the Genomics and Systems Medicine Research IT initiatives at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. In 2016, Narayanan's team and Edico Genome successfully demonstrated 26-hour whole-genome based diagnoses of critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Want to learn more about their impact and vision of clinical genome diagnosis? Come to join us on Oct.9, Monday, 5pm, in CMMC.
