University of Cologne ZIB WiSo Summer School in New York Kicks Off!

(New York, NY) University of Cologne ZIB WiSo Summer School got a kick-start Sunday evening with a dinner at the restaurant the Double Crown on the Bowery in New York. Summer School participants shared exciting dishes like spicy soup, octopus, and dumplings. The dinner provided an excellent opportunity for the students to learn more about their classmates and meet their summer professors. Judging from the volume, laughs, and smiling faces, the dinner was a success. Early Monday morning it was back to business with the first day of classes, held at the Kimmel Center at New York University.

Summer School classes will be lead by Professor Roger L. M. Dunbar and Professor Elizabeth Boyle, from NYU Stern School of Business, and Jeanette Heidewald and Darryl Neher from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Professor Dunbar will teach a course in “Management and Organizational Analysis” and Professor Boyle will teach a course in “Collaboration, Conflict and Negotiation.” Professors Heidewald and Professor Neher will teach “Skill Seminar Business Communication.” Additionally, the program will include exciting company visits and excursions; for example, to the UN Headquarters.

University of Cologne ZIB WiSo Summer School in New York will run from 7 August - 16 September. The program is for Bachelor students from all study programs. Credit transfer to the Cologne Bachelor into „Profi lgruppe“ and „Studium Integrale.“
