Junior Faculty Club

The Junior Faculty Club (JFC) is a representation of interests and provides the central infrastructure for communication and information for all postdoctoral junior academics at the University of Cologne or at member institutions of the Research Alliance Cologne, who strive for a permanent (or tenured) professorship. Furthermore, it provides funding for the organization of conferences, workshops and seminars, which address relevant and particularly interdisciplinary issues for this career stage.

The Junior Faculty Club (JFC) acts in the interest of junior academics at the University of Cologne and affiliated institutions, and provides a platform for exchange and information. All postdoctoral researchers and non-tenured junior staff striving for a permanent (or tenured) professorship and located at the University of Cologne and or at an institution of the Research Alliance Cologne are entitled to become members of the club.

The JFC provides funding for conferences organized by its members and offers a broad range of services including career counseling and workshops tailored to the challenges that junior faculty faces.

The board of the JFC consists of representatives of the University of Cologne's six Faculties.
