Global Network Partneruniversities

The highest level of cooperation offered by the University of Cologne to other international Universities is the „Global Network Partnership“.

With the „Global Network Partneruniversities“ the University of Cologne is developing a comprehensive and intensive form of cooperation in research and teaching: university-wide, establishing innnovative structures and oriented towards institutional sustainability.

Exchange activities cover all levels: research and teaching, students and faculty, staff. They are strategically focussed on enduring Cooperation.

Global Network Partneruniversities are the preferred partners in the respective region:

  • they are structurally similar to the UoC in size, variety of disciplines and research focus
  • they belong to the top-universities in their country/region
  • they maintain already long-standing and manifold relations to UoC-members
  • they aim at a comprehensive and trustful partnership with the UoC based on a innovative „Global Network Parner Agreement“

Exchange activities with Global Network Partneruniversities can receive funding of the Rectorate, who dedicated financial means to the development of the Network.

Exchange activities within the Global Partner Network are co-ordinated by the International Office.
