Official University Partnerships
The official university partnerships are primarily motivated by educational policy objectives of relevance to all faculties. These partnerships are augmented by over 260 collaborations and exchange relations at faculty level (Ger.).
International contacts overall come under the remit of the University Administration’s International Office, which in April 2004 was awarded the Prize of the German Foreign Office for its successful work.
The individual official university partnerships are looked after by a Senate representative.
The expansive faculty-level network alongside the University’s official partnerships comes under the responsibility of the faculties themselves – that is, their Centres for International Relations (ZIBs) – in concert with the International Office.
