Collaborative Research Centres and Subprojects
The promoting instrument of Collaborative Research Centres (CRCs = SFBs), funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), aims to create priority areas of research through the temporary establishment of centres of excellence, the advancement of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the promotion of junior scholars.
The current programme thus embraces a number of variants – the SFBs, a Cultural Studies Research Unit (SFB/FK) and Transregios (SFB/TRs), as well as the supplementary programmes including transfer projects and junior research groups.
For further information on SFBs, see the pertinent lists furnished by the DFG.
